Our Mission

5Terra is a student-led initiative built on the principle that direct engagement, knowledge-sharing, and on-the-ground collaboration can pave pathways toward positive change. Our focus extends beyond any single leader or country. By working with local partners—especially youth—we seek to:

Promote Education & Skills Development

We believe that exposing students to real-world consulting challenges and cross-cultural experiences fosters deeper mutual understanding and professional growth.

Address Global Challenges

Our teams tackle sustainability, climate resilience, and socioeconomic development projects. We find that by improving local conditions—be it through renewable energy exploration, infrastructure advisement, or educational programming—we can empower communities from within.

Encourage Dialogue & Cultural Exchange

Rather than viewing the world in rigid binaries, we champion dialogues that bridge divides. Our work in Saudi Arabia, for instance, is one part of a broader commitment to engaging constructively with communities across the Middle East, the United States, and beyond.

How It Works

Our comprehensive program guides you from application to career success

Step 1: Apply & Get Selected

Competitive application process (resume, statement of interest, interview). Open to Princeton undergrads with leadership potential and global aspirations.

Step 2: Summer Research and Preparation

Students will spend the summer building a comprehensive understanding of Saudi Arabia, focusing on culture; the entrepreneurial ecosystem; and priority development areas such as sustainability, education, and economic diversification. This preparation equips students to leverage their Princeton education effectively for meaningful global impact.

Step 3: Immersion in Saudi Arabia

Students will directly apply their research through an immersive professional visit to Saudi Arabia. Experiencing firsthand the tangible outcomes of their research, they move beyond theoretical exploration to active contribution, inspiring real-world action in Saudi's sustainability, education, and economic innovation efforts.

Program Duration: Summer research followed by immersive visit to Saudi Arabia
